Hospice Care

Hospice is more than a service—it is a sanctuary of comfort during one of life’s most delicate seasons.

Hospice Care is a specialized approach to care that focuses on the quality of life for individuals

and their families who are coping with an advanced, life-limiting illness.

Primrose Hospice provides compassion-driven service to those in their final phase of an incurable disease, so they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice is a holistic approach to comfort care, designed to meet the needs of each patient and their family through a coordinated team of Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistant, Social Workers, Chaplains, Volunteers, and Physicians. Often, the care includes clinical care, pain relief, durable medical equipment, incontinence supplies, social support, bereavement, heartfelt emotional and spiritual support. Every element of care is thoughtfully shaped to honor who the patient is, what matters most to them, and how they wish to be supported.

At the center of the Primrose holistic hospice philosophy is a deeply held belief that every individual deserves

a peaceful, dignified passage, free from pain and surrounded by compassion.

Every family deserves the strength, guidance, and support to accompany their loved one with confidence and grace.

Every care provider deserves the tools, education and clinical support to provide the best possible care in this delicate season.

Care providers & family members both deserve skilled hands, educating compassionate guidance,

and a sanctuary of support as they walk this journey alongside the individual receiving care

— this is a pillar of the Primrose Hospice mission, to provide what is deserved.

Primrose Hospice pursues a holistic care approach wherever someone calls home—most often in their own residence, but also in adult care homes, nursing homes, hospitals, long-term care facilities and others. Hospice care is fully covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and a benefit for most private insurers, so families can rest in what truly matters: connection, meaning, and presence.

Families often serve as primary caregivers, and we stand beside them as a seamless extension of the caregiving team.

Our Primrose Hospice team members visit regularly, offering assessments, hands-on support, and moments of comfort.

Comfort & Peace cannot wait; Primrose Hospice Care is here around the clock—24/7—to bring reassurance whenever it’s needed.

Do I Qualify?

Hospice care is appropriate for any person who has a life-threatening or terminal illness with a prognosis of six months or less, if the illness runs its normal course. Signs of decline often point the way to hospice care and these signs should not be considered alarms—rather—they are gentle indicators that your loved one may benefit from a different kind of care, one centered on comfort, dignity, and the whole person.

Am I Covered?

Generally, hospice is fully covered by Medicare Part-A, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans when the eligibility criteria is met. This benefit covers virtually all aspects of hospice care services, with no out of pocket expense to the patient or family. As a result, the financial burdens usually associated with caring for a terminally ill patient are alleviated in many cases.   If you have questions about how hospice can be completely paid for, please get in touch with us for a complementary consultation today.
